Webinar on SESD tools and services for SMEs for Heads of IP Offices and SME Support Institutions in the Central European, Baltic States and Mediterranean Countries.
At the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the SMEs and Entrepreneurship Support Division (SESD) is responsible for assisting member states to strengthen their innovation capacity and entrepreneurial system through more effective use of the intellectual property (IP) system.
The objective of SESD initiatives
a. To enhance SMEs competitiveness through effective use of the IP system;
b. To strengthen the institutional capacity of SME support institutions in delivering IP related services to their stakeholders.
Webinar
To strengthen collaboration with the key stakeholders of the innovation ecosystem,
WIPO would like to invite the representatives of national IP Offices together with local SME support institutions to participate in the webinar, which will take place at 10.00am, on February 25, 2020.
The main objectives of the event are: to raise the awareness about existing tools and services of SESD; to raise the discussions on the importance of IP for business; and to initiate the establishment of a network of SME Support Institutions in the region.
This event will provide a detailed overview of activities carried out by SESD, namely: IP Diagnosis tool for SMEs and SME support institutions, Gradual Establishment of a Network of SME Intermediaries, and a Combined capacity building activities for SMEs and Universities.
